Bear Lake....here we come!!!!! :)

Well, we are leaving on our vacation for the summer! I am so excited to hang out at the lake and relax! :) We are heading up to Garden City, Utah for about two weeks. During those two weeks, we are also going to Yellowstone! We have never been to Yellowstone, so we are very excited! I'll have my laptop up there, so I might find some time to post pictures!

Jocelyn was tagged!

This is such a cute idea! Thanks Leah! :) I asked Jocelyn some questions and here are her answers! Too funny.
What does Mommy always say to you?
"You got to listen!"
What makes Mommy happy?
"Making a present. When I leave Boomer alone." (we have to work on leaving the cat alone!)
What makes Mommy sad?
"Someone pooping in their pants" (seriously!)
How does Mommy make you laugh?
"You make me laugh when you play with me and do fun things together."
How old is Mommy?
"Ummm...57. NO WAIT! 7" (She probably changed it b/c of the look on my face!!)
How tall is Mommy?
"This tall" (raising her hand in the air)
What does Mommy like to do?
"Play with me and make me giggle. You like to love and do fun things! I already telled you this!"
What is Mommy's job?
"My mom has to clean up! I clean too"
What is Mommy's favorite food?
"Umm, hot dogs and chicken and green beans and we love eachother." (She is so funny!)
How do you know Mommy loves you?
"BECAUSE WE ARE BEST FRIENDS!" (Ohhhh, she melts my heart!!!)
"Okay, can we do MORE!?!?" (hahahaha. I guess she likes this game! We'll have to ask about Daddy too!)

Here are the answers when I asked about Daddy...
What does Daddy always say to you?
"No hitting cats...Ohhh, my eye itches, Mommy"
What makes Daddy happy?
"When I sing Old McDonald" (Okay, random!)
What makes Daddy sad?
"We don't clean up our toys. That makes him sad. Mommy, can I have my vitamins?" (Can you tell she was really focused!! haha)
How does Daddy make you laugh?
"We say funny things and laugh all day long and be a silly listener!" (Umm, I think she's confused about that last part!)
How old is Daddy?
"54 and I'm 53....I'm 3"
How tall is Daddy?
"This tall." (Raises her hand in the air)
What does Daddy like to do?
"He likes to clean up and do the dishes and work with us. He likes to play with me and he likes to marry you!! He likes to ride his motorcycle and his favorite truck!"
What is Daddy's job?
"We spend money and play jobs. He likes to get money for us and we go somewhere and we spend money and we spend it on our house." (HAHA! She is funny!)
What does Daddy like to eat?
"He likes to eat hot dogs, chili green and toast!" (Okay, I don't know where the hot dogs answer comes from, but Graham does love green chile! So funny)
How do you know Daddy loves you?
"Because he loves when I give him hugs and kisses!"

Best buds!

Do you think it's bad that my daughter's best friend is a cat?!?!? Ha ha. Our cat is kind of more like a dog than a cat. He plays with her, snuggles with her, chases her around the house, (and then waits for her to catch up to him!!), and they watch cartoons together! Boomer waits by Jocelyn's door in the morning until I open it and then he'll run and jump on her bed! If he hears her awake before I get up, he'll come and try to wake me up! I'm not kidding! He'll purr and meow at my face and if I don't acknowledge him, he'll pat me on the face. Which I don't like him doing!! Anyway, they are so funny together. Sometimes she bugs him a little too much and he'll stand up like a bear and jump towards her!! It is pretty funny! He is the best natured cat I've ever seen. Graham doesn't really like cats at all, but Boomer is the one exception!

Happy 4th of July!!!!!!!

I LOVE the Fourth of July! I love all the patriotic music, I love the fireworks and I love spending time with family and friends. Most of all, I feel so blessed to live in this country! I am so grateful to all the men and women who have fought and who continue to fight for our freedom! I was raised to be proud of our country and to feel a love for it!
This year, we went to the Balloon Fiesta Park with our friends, Aaron, Shea and their three kids. We've known them for a couple years now and always have a great time! Jocelyn and Bryson are SO much like a little married couple. One minute, they love each other and then the next, they are bickering about something! Usually one wants to play something and the other doesn't. OR one wants to sit next to the other, and the other doesn't. It was very entertaining!

My patriotic little girl! She HAD to have a flag this year! She waved it around all night!

I love the back of this shirt and her cute little bows!

This is my favorite picture! Funny story with her outfit. I always have to have an outfit for her for the Fourth of July. Poor Graham didn't know what he was getting into when we found out we were having a girl! ha ha. Anyway, I thought this shirt was a 2T, so I tried it on Jocelyn at the store to make sure it fit. It fit fine, so we went up to the cash register. For some reason, I looked at the tag and it said 12 to 18 MONTHS!!! WHAT?!?!?!?! Yeah, she's tiny!

Isn't this hilarious? They were both pouting here! Their facial expressions and they had their arms crossed. I think they had just got in trouble for running off too far!

Here is Jocelyn and Bryson when they were HAPPY!

We have such a beautiful view here! I love the mountains!

We were going to let the kids jump on one of the bouncy houses they have, but the lines were ridiculous. Then we thought we'd find a football for them to play with and we had no luck with that. I am explaining our thought process b/c we ended up with glow swords and I want everyone to know that was a last resort! Ha ha! Of course, the rest of the night, the kids had sword fights. The only problem with this, is that they would get to involved with their fight and not watch out for innocent bystanders! Jocelyn was cracking me up b/c instead of moving her hands to swing her sword, she would swing her hips side to side. It was pretty funny!

Our Luxurious Camping Trip!

Jocelyn's friend, the chipmunk. There was a baby chipmunk who was SO cute and tiny!

In the middle of our hike, Jocelyn stepped into a water hole and she was NOT happy to be wet!

Here's Jocelyn's socks and shoes after the hike! She really soaked her left foot!!

Living/dining area

After a hike. Every time Grandpa and Jocelyn would come back from a hike, Jocelyn would slump her shoulders and walk really slow! She would have a pouty face too! She LOVES going on hikes!

This is the creek that we hiked along. Tons of mosquitoes! UH! There were a bunch of beaver dams. It was neat to see even though we didn't see any beavers!

Kitchen with t.v., stereo and dvd player. The door on the right is to the garage. Also where we slept.

Hallway to bathroom and bedroom.

Jocelyn fishing

The other side of the kitchen. Fridge, freezer and pantry.

Their fifth wheeler. The first door is into the kitchen/living area. The back door goes into the garage/second living area. It has beds but we brought our queen size air mattress and Jocelyn's twin air mattress! It was so nice!

Other side of camper with the slide out.

I have been meaning to put pictures of our camping trip on here! We had such a good time! We went back to Fenton Lake. This time we tried fishing, and we caught a lot of algae! Jocelyn had fun reeling in the line on her new princess fishing pole! That's all she wanted to do with it! Here are lots of pictures from the trip. There's so much to write about it, I will have to do that later!

Our Olympic Gymnast

A few days ago, the olympic trials were on t.v. I thought Jocelyn might like watching the gymnastics since she is in gymnastics herself. Well! I didn't realize how much she would LOVE it! She was making me laugh the entire time! She sat so close to the t.v and she would ohhhh and ahhh everytime they did a flip! "Mommy, I can't do that! Help me do a BIG flip!"

After a few minutes of just watching, she decided she needed to show off her gymnastics skills. It was hilarious! I have no idea where she got these poses, but definitely not gymnastics class!

She is pretty flexible though!!

Too much fun in the sun!!!

The other day, Jocelyn had heat exhaustion! Poor thing! We weren't even out in the sun very much that day, but I learned it doesn't take long! What made me really nervous was when I was laying down with her, she was telling me she saw different colored spots and then would try to catch them!! The wonderful thing is we have a nurse and two paramedics in our family! Makes me feel so much better knowing we can call them! The next day, she was doing much better and then I got a stomach bug! UH! Finally we both felt better, so we went to see Opa's planes. It was a lot of fun!

Opa has two planes. This one is a 1946 Taylorcraft. Opa flew planes for a very long time! I think he said about sixty years! Right now, he keeps this plane for the grandkids who are taking flying lessons! It was so much fun to see him in his element and hear about his planes! Jocelyn had a blast sitting in the plane and she told me, "I am going to fly to Ohio to see my Gavin!" So cute.

Opa built this plane from scratch! Amazing! He flew this plane for 22 years! We got to see pictures of it when he was in the process of building it! I can't even imagine building a plane from scratch!

After spending time at the hanger, we went back to Opa's house and spent some time with him. Then we went with MiMi and Grandpa to see the new 5th wheeler they bought. We had fun looking at all the different RV's! One we saw was 250,000 dollars and was insane! Granite countertops in the kitchen, a full stainless steel fridge, three t.v's, leather furniture, washer and dryer, alarm system, etc!! I really wish I took pictures of it! Anyway, we obviously spent too much time in the heat b/c when we got back to their house for dinner, Jocelyn got sick AGAIN! Same thing as last time with the heat exhaustion, but this time she was throwing up a bit. I felt so bad! It was really hot at the RV place and of course, inside the RV's was worse. She is doing much better today, but I am keeping her out of the heat for a few days!!!!
Here are a few pics of the new toy they bought! I don't know if we should be as excited as we are about it since it's not ours, but the thought of tagging along once in awhile is VERY exciting!!! Ha ha. Below is the closest picture I could find online to the one they bought. This one is longer, but theirs looks a lot like that!

Here is the garage! Crazy huh! You can take along motorcycles! When the bikes aren't in there, two beds come down and it can be another living area and then a bedroom!

Here is the garage when the beds are down. They can also turn into couches! I will post more pictures of the actual thing once they get it! I can't find pictures of the kitchen, bedroom or bathroom online.

The past week....

First, we have had swimming lessons everyday. I have been wanting to put Jocelyn is lessons, but didn't sign her up! Luckily, a friend in our ward called me saying she had a spot left in her class!

Jocelyn cracked me up the first day. Gretta told the girls they were going to take turns going under water. Jocelyn says, "No thank you. I don't think I want to do that!" Ha ha. Gretta was laughing saying Jocelyn was very polite about it, but she didin't give the girls an option. :) Which is good b/c Jocelyn would try to get out anything that got her face wet! She's done really well! She's not as scared getting her face wet now!

After swimming lessons today, we had an appointment to get Jocelyn's hair cut. I decided to try Mop Tops at the mall. It was pretty cute. They have different animals that the kids get to sit on. Like at the park, the animals that rock and have handles on the ears. Anyway, it was cute. She always is the perfect little client. She sits perfectly still and they are always amazed how well she behaves. Now she has short hair, perfect for summer!

Last Sunday, we went to the mountains to have a pinic with Mom and Dean. It was tons of fun. Besides the blaring music there for a minute, it was peaceful! Jocelyn collected a hundred pine cones and then went back for sticks. She found sticks that were shaped like different letters.

Then she got a scratch on her finger. It was the funniest thing b/c she was soooo dramatic about it! She held her finger out the rest of the afternoon and wouldn't move it. Then she got a scratch on her knee and she had to hobble everywhere!! She couldn't walk flat on that foot b/c it would hurt the scratch on her knee! She is entertaining!

We LOVE Daddy!

Happy Father's Day, Graham! We love Daddy and we are so grateful to have him in our lives! I really appreciate my husband and everything he does for us! He is such a hard worker, but he always makes time for his family!

Jocelyn absolutely adores her Daddy! She can be in the worst mood and then Daddy wakes up and she is as happy as can be! She is always excited when it's Daddy's day off from work! "OHHH You aren't going to work today!" Then she has a list of a hundred things she wants to do with him!! Usually on the top of the list is Lincoln Logs. Daddy is the BEST builder! :)

Jocelyn worries about her Daddy on his motorcycle. It's not a dramatic worry, just a sweet and loving concern! :) The other day we were following Graham to the motorcycle shop. He was on his bike and we were in my car. She was making me laugh the entire way. "Daddy wears a helmet so he won't broke his head!" Yes, so he won't broke his head. So cute! Then she said, "Oh! I'm so worried! I hope Daddy makes it up this hill! It looks so steep!" Too funny.

We appreciate everything Graham does for our family! We probably don't tell him enough but we do try to make sure he knows how much he is LOVED!
